Besides the surfing there are other attractions that travelers are drawn to. This includes the Kumana National Park. The Park is situated 22km from Panama in Okanda, with an annual rainfall of 1,300 millimeters. Many travelers have been captivated by the birds that sail through the terrain, especially in the months of May and June. There are 430 species of bird that's amassed of endemic, migrant, resident birds. Which makes the park a desirable destination for bird-watchers. A general sighting in the park would encompass pelicans, painted storks, spoonbills, white ibis, herons, egrets, and many cormorants. The wildlife seems to loom over three very distinct pools of water: the Kudawila Wewa, Thummulla wewa, and Kotalinda wewa (wewa: known as lake). Kumana National Park harbors a well-protected sanctuary for the endangered wetland species, for example: The Green turtle, The Loggerhead Turtle, and The Olive Ridley Turtle.
There are many activities that can be indulged in Arugam Bay, where relaxation is key, and the streets are scattered with adventures waiting to happen. There are serene yoga venues that travelers can experience for a day of exercise. If that’s not enjoyable travelers can escape stress and responsibilities by renting a scooter and exploring the region on ones own volition, or even do absolutely nothing and read a book while tanning in the sun if that suits your palette. Freedom is the significance of Arugam Bay and it must be embraced.
