Enjoy amazing sea plane ride from Katunayake Airport to Hambantota where you will have easy access to the Sri Lankan jungles (Yala national park) / Southern beaches (Unawatuna,Galle,Hikkaduwa, Mirissa) and hill country such as Ella and Bandarawela.

The flight takes off from the airport daily sharp at 10.00 am and will land in Hambantota at 11.45..

At Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA)

Check-in and security procedures are performed at our dedicated terminal designed just for our passengers like you, away from the busy International Terminal. As our terminal is in a security controlled area, we transfer you to our terminal in our shuttle.

When flying directly, please contact our Ground Staff through your chauffer driver who will direct you to the “Remote Car Park” (also referred to as “Airport and Aviation Outside Car Park”) where we will pick you up and transferred by the shuttle to our terminal.

BAGGAGE SERVICES 
Checked – in Baggage

As part of our commitment to offering the very best in Sri Lanka air taxi services, our objective is always to send your baggage along with you on the same flight. However, there will be instances when your baggage may have to be transferred by a later flight or through secured ground transportation due to weight restrictions of the aircraft. You have no reason to worry if either of these alternate modes are used, since your luggage will always be in secure custody of the Baggage Service Department and delivered straight to you. It is advisable to pack what you need to have immediately into your carry-on baggage.

Please note that the checked-in baggage allowance is 23 kgs per passenger. An excess baggage rate of – US$ 15 per kg will be charged for baggage exceeding the regular allowance of 23 kg.

Carry-on Baggage

There is a 5 kg allowance for carry-on baggage. Given the size of the aircraft, you will need to hand over baggage to the cabin crew when arriving at the aircraft for boarding. Make sure you take your camera, valuables and other personal items you wish to have with you in the aircraft before you board.

Fragile baggage – We will carry fragile baggage. However, we regret that we will not be able to take responsibility in case of damage caused during carriage.

USEFUL INFORMATION
Pets and other live animals

Although we love pets and other live animals, we have to say no to them on board our aircraft. As our aircraft are not pressurized due to low altitude we fly at, the change in pressure can be extremely uncomfortable to live animals. Therefore, considering the wellbeing of our animal friends and high level of hygiene we maintain inside our aircraft, we cannot permit live animals on board.

Smoking

For the comfort and safety of our passengers, we ask our passengers to refrain from smoking inside terminal buildings and on board Cinnamon Air aircraft.

Flying while pregnant

Generally we have no restrictions for our passengers who are pregnant. However, please consult your doctor to determine if flying in unpressurised aircraft is safe for you and your expected.

Although Sri Lanka is not under a significant threat, we take your security very seriously. In order to minimize safety and security risks for our passengers, we have restricted the carriage of following items in carry-on luggage or in checked luggage on board Air aircraft:
